Criteria for Low von Willebrand Factor Diagnosis and Risk Score to Predict Future Bleeding
Researchers from Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam, The Netherlands, investigated the incidence of postsurgical bleeding, postpartum hemorrhage, and traumatic and spontaneous bleeding in 439 patients with low VWF (mean follow‐up, 6.3 ± 3.7 years), and developed a risk score to identify individuals at high risk of bleeding after a diagnosis of low VWF.
