Jessica Shank Coviello, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, is an Associate Professor at Yale University School of Nursing (YSN). For more than 30 years, she has been in practice focusing on cardiovascular disease prevention and management. Dr. Coviello is particularly interested in self-care management in patients with heart failure and cardiovascular risk assessment and management in patients being treated for cancer. Active in the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses, she has also served with the Connecticut Society for Cardiac Rehabilitation where she has been president, vice-president, and treasurer. Dr. Coviello has also served with the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses in the publication and patient education committees.

Dr. Coviello obtained her nursing diploma from the Lankenau School of Nursing, a bachelor’s in Nursing from Southern Connecticut State University, and a master’s in Nursing from YSN. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree is from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professionals in Boston.

Anecita P. Fadol, PhD, APRN, FNP, FAANP, FAAN, is coordinator of the Heart Success Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She has also led the development and validation of the MD Anderson Symptom Inventory–Heart Failure (MDASI-HF) instrument for symptom assessment. Previously, Dr. Fadol was the supervisor of the Critical Care Nursing Residency program and Clinical Nurse Specialist of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at The Methodist Hospital in Houston. She was also coordinator of the Heart Failure Program at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston. She is the editor of Cardiac Complications of Cancer Therapy, the first nursing reference textbook for patients with cancer and concurrent cardiac problems.

Dr. Fadol received her diploma in Nursing with honors from the CLMMH School of Nursing, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Riverside College, Bacolod City, Philippines. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with honors in Critical Care Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center and her Family Nurse Practitioner and PhD at Texas Woman's University.

Lisa Nodzon, PhD, APRN, AOCNP^®, is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the Department of Malignant Hematology at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. Her primary scope of practice encompasses the care and management of patients diagnosed with various hematologic malignancies with an emphasis on chronic myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Dr. Nodzon has a particular interest in the evaluation and supportive management of toxicities and cardiac complications associated with oral targeted agents used to treat chronic leukemias. She has published and lectured on various topics involving these diseases. Dr. Nodzon is also an active member of various professional societies including the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Florida Association of Clinical Oncology.

She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she also received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors. She holds a PhD from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, with a focus on Molecular and Cellular biology. Dr. Nodzon was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Cancer Biology at Mayo Clinic, focusing on the development of cell models for colon carcinogenesis.

Barbara Rogers, CRNP, MN, AOCN^®, ANP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Trenton State College in Trenton, New Jersey; a Master of Nursing (Med-Surg Nursing, Oncology Specialization) from University of California, Los Angeles; and a Post-Masters Nurse Practitioner Certification from Temple University.

Myrshia L. Woods, MHS, PA-C, is a physician assistant in the Department of Cardiology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She has worked in cardiology for 20 years, alongside Dr. Jean-Bernard Durand, on the cardiomyopathy service, and helped establish the Heart Success Program. Ms. Woods serves as volunteer faculty with the Baylor PA Program and University of Texas Medical Branch PA Program, giving annual lectures on heart disease. She has also lectured on a national level, having presented at the American Academy of Physician Assistants conference on cardiotoxicity, and at the American College of Cardiology conference on the advanced practitioner’s role on the cardio-oncology team. Ms. Woods is a graduate of the Duke University PA Program.

Kejal Amin, PharmD, MBA, BCOP, is a clinical oncology pharmacist at the Smilow Cancer Center at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. She has spent a majority of her career focusing on hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant. Recently, Dr. Amin transitioned to managing patients with any oncologic disease state. She is involved nationally with the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association.

Dr. Amin obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her postgraduate pharmacy practice residency and her oncology pharmacy residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.
